Its Better Late than LATE---Drive safe--live incident from my own experience
Hello Friends
Forgot to inform you about an incident that had occured on december 13 2008 at 0945hrs.
The night before december 13th 2008 I saw a dream of accidents and some one's child lost and was crying on the road and like that.Friends also wished me happy ride and ride safe eventhough they had never done this before as they knew that I always drive safe.My parents said somedays ago to not to go to this ride eventhough they had never stopped me before to go to any ride.Swati-my love also said no please don't go in this ride even though before she used to smile and would wish me before going to any ride.Still on that day she smiled and wished me good luck but I could sense the great NO from her heart.Many such incidents happened to me as if God was trying to pass some message to me.But the fact was that I was unable to identify his meaasge.
The main story lies like this.It was a cool and chilling morning and the day was already fixed two weeks ago by the biker group to go from bangalore to the valparai which is few kilometers from coimbatore.So woke up in the morning and completed all my prayers at it was by then 0530hrs.The schedule was to meet at 0630hrs at shell petrol pump of silkboard towards the hosur road.I managed to reach the starting point on time.Exactly at 0630hrs 6 members of our group started for our ride heading towards our destination with a common aim to meet our brothers of coimbatore and enjoy.So the ride was known as brothers in arms ride 2008.
The road was not so nice for few kilometers but after 15 to 30 minutes of the ride we touched the main hosur road,which was a silk route.So all the bikes,cars and trucks were zapping the road at speed.As a normal tendency in the highways,that day too i was managing to keep the needles of my speedometer till 80kph.Suddenly I saw all my group members are lost that is they were ahead of me and zapping the road.This made me restless as the route further was unknown to me and to my bad luck I had even forgot to carry the route map with me on that day.With the intention to catch my fellas ,with a racing gesture I closed my thighs and locked my knees with the tank of my bike and had bent a little so that I can cut the air ,glided to the right most of the road and than gave a full throttle to my bike.The sound was amazing and was completely roaring like brrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm......And when marked the speedometer ,I found the needles were dying to cross the 140kph.At that time I was unable to think anything ,but could see only the road running towards me as streaks of light and the trees were like hazy.After some time I could see the helmets of my fellas moving and got relaxed and thought atlast I caught hold of them and slowed down to 135kph - 140 kph.Suddenly from a distance I saw a tractor on my lane moving ahead at arround 20 to 30 kph.
Within this span of speed I marked a car was also speeding behind me and it looked as if the car is racing with me.As the bike was at terrible speed ,applying brakes were risky.So I tried to slow down the bike but was able to manage the needle to touch only till 110kph.By that time I was few inches from the rear end of the tractor.Than I tried to overtake the tractor from left inorder to avoid the head on collision as it was moving on right and offcourse it was in the wrong lane.Than suddenly BOOM BAM BOOM and complete dark and felt as if I am sleeping on my bed in my room and peoples were trying to wake me up.I woke up after few minutes ,and found myself still on the road.I found some one was giving me water to drink and saw that two of my members standing near me and helping me to get up from the road and also found a bit of crowd near me.For few seconds my mind was completely blank and I was remembering my childhood place and thought that I am in that place.I was trying hard to remember that what happened and asked my group that what am i doing here and what are they doing here.They were surprised and said come to the side of the road and they made me to sit somewhere and said all the story.Than slowly slowly I remembered all the incident and was looking to my cell phones to call some one but even I could not remember the names to whom to call to.They asked me where you will go in bangalore so that they will say the lorry driver and he could help me to go there.I was only remembering JP nagar 5th phase but was not remembering my complete address.Slowly slowly I managed to recollect my memories and am fine now.I later realised that more two of my memebers were behind me while I was zapping but I thought I was lost.
The incident that led me to this was that the car which was behind me also took left as the tractor was in the extreme right and in that way the car hit my bike and I slided to few kilometers on the road and as per people saying that the bike was at such speed that even the sparks were coming from the road where there was a hard mating between my bikes metal body and with the feminish body of the road ,while I was getting dragged.But with the Gods grace nothing happened as because I was wearing all my riding gears.Found later that my riding jacket is torn ,my knee guards were shattered and few scratches on my helmet.Though I felt sometime that the riding gears are too costly of being Rs20000 but today I think it is worth of that cost as it damaged itself but inturn it saved yours Anshuman.Nothing happened few sprain in my right leg and a bit of jerk on my left shoulder and a bit pain in my throat which made me difficult to swallow food for two days but forcibly I was swallowing;showed the doctor,he said everything is fine after all the test and gave a TTNA,few antibiotic and few pain killers.
So I am suggesting you all to wear the riding gears while going for long rides on the highways because accident mostly happen because of others mistake and fewer times because of you and also it happens unknowingly,thats why it is called as accident.Atleast use a good helmet always while driving good to wear a imported helmet (racing helmets) as it saved my head.though it will be above 3000rs but it is worth it.Had it been the normal helmets than it could have easily broken into pieces and there by breaking my head too.And also rememeber not to drive at speed which is unmanageable at certain time.Its better to be Late than LATE.
The front part of the bike is gone.The handle is in S shape(somewhat),the forks got bent,the crash guards got bent and touched the engines,the mudguard is gone,at the more interesting is that the disc brake is broken into pieces.Everyone is surprised that how disc brake is gone ,so they could feel the severity of the accident.But your anshuman is fit and fine ha ha ha.Its all because of God and also because of all yours best wishes are with me.Ha ha ha ha :-) thank god again and also to you all.

Did we do anything significant by taking the birth as human being?Human being is considered as the most valuable birth of all life so that we can perform our duties in intelligence.As in Gita it is said We need to do now for better tomorrow.So what it is ?We need to utilize our time in proper way.The better the work in this life the better the result for the next life.There is three forms of the world.The upper ,middle and the lower.Human birth is considered as the world of the middle.It is believed that to get the birth as human being a creatures take 64 yonis of birth means 64000 births.The form of birth the creature is now is because of its previous karma(deeds).The work you do in this life decides the form you will take in the next life.And it is decided by the supreme lord and they come in the upper world.In the lower world the creatures of animals and insects fall into this criteria.In order to get mukti from this birth-rebirth cycle the supreme helps a living being to get the form of a human being so that he can utilize his intelligence to get rid of this maya(illusion) cycle of birth and rebirth.The man who doesnot understand this again falls in this cycle and in each cycle a living creature suffers or enjoys the deeds of its past and thereby filters its deeds for the future......
Enjoying the fruits of today ! remember this is the deeds of your past.So what about the future?Don't waste the time.

Come January 2009, any bullet rider will quietly roll his or her trusty steed from the garage, load bare necessities and ride towards Ooty, Tamilnadu. Four hundred others will be doing the exact same thing – in New Delhi, Shillong, Kolkatta, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum and a few other cities all over India. They will all ride to participate in the annual national congregation of bullet Riders – Rider Mania.
“Rider Mania 2009 RTMC Ishtyle“ is the 6th edition of the meet. This one event draws hundreds of passionate bullet Riders from all over the country to

An event conceived, executed and owned by the community consisting of all the Enfield motorcycle riding clubs in the country for the members and other fellow bullet riding brethren The first two editions of Rider Mania were held in Goa and since then the motorcycling clubs have conducted Rider Mania near their home cities by turn. RTMC announce ride to Pearl Valley

RTMC always have a announced ride every month.In december,7th December 2008 was the day where RTMC thumped to Pearl Valley which is also known as Muthyalamaduvu. The ride started at 0700hrs and a total of 38 bulls roared through the roads.It was a fine chill morning and also the right time and right place for the get together of the members of RTMC and also to welcome the new members.We first headed to Chika Tirupathi which is 75 km from bangalore had our breakfast there and then from there we moved to pearl valley which is arround 35 kms from chikatirupathi.After reaching the destination , there was introduction from each and everyone of the riders who took part in the ride. RTMCians discussed about there rules and also about the Rider Mania 2009(which is hosted by RTMC this time) with the new comers.After that we all had our lunch and finally we thumped back to our home.

Pearl Valley, Bangalore is a tourist destination that is frequented by large numbers of people annually. Located at a distance of about 44 kilometers from Bangalore, this place is a well-known picnic spot in the area. The greatest attraction of this place is the cascading waterfall, which falls from an altitude of about 300 meters.
Pearl Valley in Bangalore is a welcome respite from the humdrum of modern life. Located in a quiet and tranquil environment, Pearl Valley is enclosed by many big and small hills and mountains. The place is secluded from the other areas and makes a great picnic destination. There are also some animals that can be found in the Pearl Valley, Bangalore.
The name Pearl Valley at Bangalore has been derived from the fact that, when the water falls from a great height and strikes the ground, it scatters like drops of pearls. This is a beautiful sight and with the sunrays glistening on the water drops, the sight becomes all the more spectacular.
There is also a small temple at the place, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This has also given some religious importance to the place.

Splendid scenary, can trek, swim and laze around at the destination. Very near Bangalore.
Pearl valley or Muthyalamaduvu, is 42 Kms from Central Silk Board flyover on the Hosur main road, towards Hosur.
CSB - Electronics City 10 KmsVery good road, a part of the Golden Quadrilateral Project. Good highway riding.
Electronics City - Anekal Road Intersection 15 Kms This is an intersection, where the road coming from Sarjapura meets Hosur road.To identify this, spot a number of fruits & vegetable sellers and other shops around. Take a right turn on Anekal main road and carry on straight till Anekal. Very good road, a part of the Golden Quadrilateral Project. Good highway riding.
Anekal Road Intersection - Anekal 10KmsHosur road to Anekal is a pleasant ride, a tree lined road, with fields on both sides. Riding on this, reach a Y junction, keep left, into the town of Anekal. One then reaches the main market. Ride through it till you get to a dead end, with only option of a right turn. Take a right turn at the dead end. Good road, though narrow and with rural traffic.
Anekal - Pearl Valley 7 KmsIt is a good road through the fields once again, for the first 4-5 Kms. Watch out for some boards hawking the Pearl Valley Resort on to your right. You can easily miss this board as it faces the opposite direction.Thats the right turn to Pearl Valley. Ride along a kuchcha, pot hole & pebble strewn road for around 2-3 Kms to find yourself at the KSTDC restaurant at Muthyalamaduvu. On this stretch is a barrier, where one has to pay Rs 7 per vehicle, to enter the pearl valley and Rs 5 at the KSTDC as parking fee.Stopovers:Anekal
Fuel Stations:-Lots on the Hosur Road, one before Anekal.
Tips:-Visit immediately after monsoon. Good food at the KSTDC restaurant, Muthyalamaduvu. Also check out the Pearl Valley resort, 1 km ahead of the restaurant. Swimming etc. available at a cost of around Rs.300 per person for a day.

Romancing with the Road
“All my bags are packed,I am ready to go....”This is the song of CHANTAL KREVIAZUK - Leaving On A Jet Plane that I was hearing on October 9 th 2008 in the evening after returning from the office.It made me to remember my romance with the roads.Not moving anywhere during the navratra season and doing fasting for 9 days from 30th september 2008 to October 8 2008 ,I was waiting for when I can move out on my bull.So I chulked out the plan for a ride to manipal and mangalore.
Where:-Bangalore to mangalore
Total Distance Covered:-946 km (bangalore – mangalore-udupi:-536 km , udupi-mangalore-bangalore:-410km)
Vehicles used:-Machismo 500 AVL/LB(KA 03 HC-519) and Fiat Palio
Mileage given:- Machismo 500 AVL(37kmpl) Fiat Palio( 10kmpl)
Total Expenditure:-15000 including petrol ,fooding and staying (1250 per head)
Travel Duration:-October 11’ 2008 at 0300hrs and reached back on October 13’2008 at 0900hrs

Route 2:-While coming from udupi to bangalore:- udupi-mangalore-bantval-ilanthila village-nellyady town-sakleshpur-hassan-tiptur-tumkur-bangalore-jp nagar phase 5
Road condition:- Route 1 is very very good till coorg(madekeri town) but after that till mangalore the road is horrible completely damaged road.Also the route is very very long.Its arround 536 km from bangalore,jp nagar phase 5.
Route 2 is better than route 1 except that few patches of the road from mangalore to saklespur is bad.It’s not like route 1 where the complete road from madekeri is damaged.Route 2 has good road except that few patches are bad.So my suggestion is go for route 2 while moving from bangalore-mangalore.

This is the song, I was hearing when the idea for a ride popped up in my mind. When the clock stroke 2100hrs of October 9 th 2008 I called up abhishek and shashi asking about a ride to manipal and mangalore. Hearing this they all were surprised as to what had happened to me,that at late night suddenly a plan to ride.Still they agreed and they both started calling there brothers,friends and cousin brothers whether they are interested or not.All are dynamic persons and everyone had agreed.So on 10th October 2008 I browsed the net to know about the route from bangalore to mangalore.The search gave me a shock ,about the bad roads over there. As I made my mind already for a ride ,so thought let what it may come ,we just need to complete the ride.All the planing finished and atlast we decided to romance with the road and conquer the mangalore-capital of dakshin kanada on 11th October 2008.Earlier the plan was only to fix our flag in Mangalore but gradually the enthusiasm in everybody made to conquer not only the mangalore but also its near by area.So I made a plan as to how we can cover the maximum area.So decided to go to mangalore on one route and return back on the other.The D day arrived that is on 11th october 2008, the day was asususal but was very excited as to when the time will come to ride my bull and feel the wind pressure while riding.I went back to my room from my office at 1830 hrs and informed my parents and my love swati about my long trip ride to complete only in two days.They were also surprised but atlast gave me the green signal.We all had our diner at 2000hrs and planned to leave bangalore at 0230hrs of 11th october 2008.So all the riders who were interested came to my flat#3b,atishi apartment,15th main,jp nagar 5th phase,bangalore-56078.sharp at 2400hrs of 11th october 2008 and we all had left our room and headed to conquer our quest at 0230hrs.This was the beginning of our journey.
The night was dark ,the road was broad ,clean and pitch black with the street lights decorating the road as diamond beads arround a womans neck.Than what more my bull require.So the deeper was on and the bull and the fiat palio zippped the road at 120kmph continously till mysore.In this way romancing with the road started.Few kilometers after mysore we had a break and had some alu ka paratha ,tea and refuelled the vehicles with petrol and some smoked and were ready to fly.After that there was no stoppage till madekeri town and we hit the town at 0700hrs.The road was steep as it was hilly ghat region covered with dew drops and the atmosphere blanketed with fog.the bull teared through the fog and wind with good thumping sound and I could feel the romance of my bull with the road.Just after crossing the madekeri town i.e Coorg the adventure reign started. Adventure Reign?why?many might be thinking.Its because the road was cutting through the heart of the hill but was completely damaged and the fog on the hills lookin as if clouds has blanketed the hills.So moving on this road became very slow and tiring.This nightmare continued till mangalore and also till udupi.At 1400hrs of 11th october 2008 we reached mangalore and the climate was completely changed.It was too hot over there with lot of humidity.It was like putting a cold iron rod inside a heat chamber to make it hard.But all of us were sweating and feeling tired as if all the water has drained from the body.We took a right turn from the mangalore circle and headed towards the malpe beach.we took a break in the midway to have some cold drinks and after that we headed towards the malpe beach.We reached there at 1600hrs at malpe beach. All the tireness in our body has gone by seeing the beach .As said that in hot the gold is ripped.Many were thinking to dip directly in the sea as it was too hot there.But we thought let the heat of the sun comes down a bit and than we all will go inside the sea.So we went to the Paradise island food court which is facing the malpe beach.As it was weekend there were many people from bangalore and found many company buses parked near the beach.We had our lunch and drinks in the Paradise island and made ourselves ready to get into the sea.At 1700hrs the temperature of the sun came down and the same of our body too.So we planned to move out to the water.So we all changed our clothes and headed towards the beach.Many company buses were parked in the parking areas but not my bull.My bull was also taken on the sand of the beach and not only we even my bull also tasted the sea water.The thumping of my bull made me to feel that even he is also enjoying the malpe beach.At 2000hrs we came out of the beach and went to have our dinner.But before that we booked two rooms for night stay.For this we chose hotel karthik which is near maple beach bus stand.So we took two rooms of 4 beds each.Myself(anshuman biswal),Abhishek singh,shashi bhushan and vikash bharadwaj lodged into room number 208 and Pankaj,Aishwaraj singh,pratyush singh and Bunty lodged into room number 209.The clock stroke 2100hrs and even our eyes too in red with tireness.The body was tanned properly with the saline water and heat of the sun and eyes were looking sleepy with redness in it as if we all are drunk.But it was not because of drink ,but it was because of tireness.We went to Karavali hotel at 2300hrs and had our dinner.Prawn fried rice,chicken pathankot,chicken kurma,mutton kurma,sahai nan,lime soda,ice cream,chicken tanduri,chicker 65 had decorated our dining table. Dinner was awesome and after that we went to our respective rooms and fell on our beds and slept instantaneously without no more talks or chats.My eyes opened at 0700hrs of 12th october 2008 and saw the beautiful morning of the beach at mangalore through my room’s window.I woke up every one and we all had our break fast and again at 1100hrs we all went to beach and had our bath there.I was busy this time in collecting star fishes and oyster .So moving here and there in search of my desire.We than moved at 1700hrs from udupi to mangalore and this was our end of our reign of conquer and beginning of our new journey to our dwelling which is bangalore.At Hotel pentagon we all had our dinner and again zipped to bangalore at 2100hrs of october 12 ‘2008.The road was good so my bull was talking with the winds but suddenly a patch of road was not good and as the bull was at 110kmph so could not slow the bull suddenly.So it was forced to move at that speed in that dirty patch of the road ,though the tyre was skidding still he managed to keep us safe.Had it been other bike it could have thrown the rider into the air.Thats why it is said that bullet is the heart(jan ) of the riders.Bull is a bull ,as it is said I am what I am.Its uncomparable.In many places my bull had proved this.The journey continued and on 13th october 2008 at 0900hrs we all reached JP nagar phase 5,bangalore.In this way we had put an end to our conquer of the quest and romacing with the roads.
But stay tuned ,soon my bull will be seen flying and romancing with the roads again after some days.

Team outing to anandadhama
The planning for Team outing of MSD department ,Motorola Inc. started from two weeks and was completely coordinated by Saurav Srivastav.All the arrangements were decided recarding commution and all the logistics.So the dooms day was decide to be on 14th of March 2008. We had hired a bus and our complete team was there to enjoy the trip.Though I was not there with them completely till the end of the trip as I had to return in the evening back with two of my friends(Dipak and Deb) because of my personal reasons,I stiil enjoyed till the time I was there with them.There were a lot of team building activities organised by the resort group. The site was completely nature friendly and clean as even they didn't allow to smoke or drink inside the campus.There was also no network for the cell phones.Seems like a complete rest;no connection with the world.While going time, asusual I was before time at the pick up point.We had different pickup points decided according to the dwelling places of our team member. So my pick up point was from Woodys,jp nagar 6th phase,bangalore.I was waiting for the bus from 6am and the bus arrived at 715am.We had our breakfast at woodys.The breakfast consisted of Idly,samvar,vada,kharabath,dosa,chatni,halwa and atlast juice.I had my favourite orange juice.Than we all packed up to leave woodys to go to Anandadhama.In the midst of the travel the guide accompanied us wearing a cow boy hats on his head.One of our team member Avinash had carried some DVDs ,to watch in the bus while en route.But it was a flop as the dvds were not good quality as there were lot of scratches on it.So some of our team members (shruti,manasi,avinash) had planned to play dumbster act ,and it was nice and I had enjoyed the play.there were two groups one with the members sitting on the left side and other with the members sitting on the right side of the bus.At last we won the play.Than they had planned to play tambola or something like that.But there was no luck with me that day.The most money looter of tambola was Gaurab.He won large amount of money as compared to others.Finally we reached our destination.I was surprised seeing the village like setup and that made my mood bounse off the track.Than we all had our tents alloted ,refreshened ourselves by the juice, I suppose that was arranged by the resort people and had our lunch and than shooted up for first round of activities.The first one was the tarzan jump.Everyone did it safely but very few couldnot and fell.I appreciate the josh of Manasi who even falling two times, I suppose still got ready for the third try and still fell down again.Than we went for archery and all tried to became the Arjuna of Mahabharata.In this Shruti became the Arjuna as hit the target 3 times.Most probably might have been the Arjuna in some life earlier.ha ha ha.Than came for another jump activity where we had to cross a small ditch filled with water.i turned down this activity as the water was not good.All tried this and fell in the ditch and became wet with the nice fresh water looked as if it was not cleaned from 1 year or more.After some day one of our team member(Deepa ) suffered from typhoid.I think probably that might be the cause of typhoid as she said that she had swallowed those water when she fell in the ditch.Good experience for her.
After that the activities continued more ,but unfortunately I was not there so could not put it in words but the photos will say everything.

The ride was announced on 15 sep 2008 ,to be held on 21st september 2008.As usual I was very enthusiastic for the ride.Actually to come to this ride I had missed another ride which was to be held on 19 september 2008 during night till 21st september 2008,which was the ride to kerala from bangalore with my room mates and friends.This is because I had to complete the two announce rides with RTMC to come to there main list. Waiting from Monday for the Sunday,finally the day had come.I woke up at 0330 hrs and after completing my puja and evrything I had left my room to south end circle jayanagar where I had to catch up with Susheel to go to the Iskon temple,which was the place of starting point of the ride. I reached the south end circle at 0500hrs and at 0520hrs susheel arrived and we two went to the starting point i.e to Iskon temple and we reached the starting point at 0545hrs.Slowly slowly the members started arriving but this time I found some more new faces in the group.We finally started for the ride and took our first break in old bridge on magadi main road.There some had there tea, some took rest and some smoked and some were busy in taking photos and among them it was me.the folowing were the break points where we all regrouped :-
Via Point 1: Old bridge on Magadi Main Road (38kms)
Via Point 2: left turn off to Savandurga on Magadi Main Road
Via Point 3: Savandurga
Via Point 4: 500m before merge onto SH-13 at Ramanagara.
We than finally arrived at savanadurga ,where everyone had gathered and intro was done.It was then decided to go to Kamath Loka Ruchi on SH13 for the breakfast.We all had our breakfast and left the place to go to bangalore at arround 1100hrs and we all had reached bangalore at 1220hrs and I finally reached my room back at 1315hrs.

Ride to Tirumala Tirupati
Ahem! Who doesn't like to go for long drives. Of course not many like to go for long rides (on Motorcycles that is). But I like to share my experience with many people here who would be interested in long rides. As far as drives are concerned, that series will be a separate one I mean among all the rides this ride was a ass paining and ,ass sizzling ride very very tire some ride.Never experienced like this.
Where – Bangalore To Tirupati and Back
Total Distance - 600 Kms. (300 Kms. one way)
Vehicle – Machismo 500 AVLLB( mileage- 30kmpl),Pulsar220(mileage-35kmpl)
Total Expenditure – 4000 (1000 per head)
Travel Duration – September 13 2008 at 0130hrs and reached back also on september 13 2008 at 2030hrs

Tour Diary: The planing started on 12th september 2008 from morning 8am.It all happened when I completed my puja and was going to leave my room to go to office ,than I suddenly asked Shashi how about a ride today.He also agreed and said that let Abhishek arrive today from rourkela than we will decide to go.I said Ok.I was very curious to go so I called up Abhishek at arround 11am when he was about to board a flight to bangalore from kolkotta ,and asked him to get ready for a ride and make up his mind in that way.He was bit in dilemma as to how he could go as he was still travelling.But I forced him to come.So he reached here at bangalore at 1900hrs and called me and confirmed that he is also coming with us for a ride.Than he took rest and prepared himself for the ride.I went back to room from the office at 1900hrs and talked with my parents and my love (swati) and informed them about my plan.They agreed.So I started packing my bags and made my riding gears ready.The cook had cooked the dinner So I had the dinner little bit early as I knew that first stretch I would be riding.So did my friends after some time and had there dinner too.We all browsed the net and found out the route of Tirumala Tirupati.And finally left for the ride at 0130hrs i.e on 13th september 2008 from Flat 3b,Atishi Apartment,Rose garden Road,15th main,JP nagar phase 5,bangalore-560078.The ride was fine and first stop we made near marathalli when we took the wrong turn.So took a stoppage to ask the correct route and had some tea from the bus stand hawkers.Than we moved again and took our second break directly at kolar where we went to Café Cofee Day(CCD) to have some food as we were feeling hungry.It was 0230hrs(13 september 2008) at that time.We took a break for 20 minutes and again moved on.Than the next stop was directly in a place before chittor where we all were completely tired as we all rode all night without sleeping.So we found a dhaba where we took some break fast and washed our face with cold water to keep us fresh as we had to drive more 170 kms.It was 0630hrs(13 september 2008) by that time.We finally reached Tirumala Tirupati at arround 1030hrs(13september 2008).But the rules were horrible every where ticket system.As we didn’t knew that to take vehicle in we have to take tickets ,so we had to come down again where we could register our vehicle to take it in the ghat of the temple.So it took arround 1 hrs by standing in a queue and anyhow we managed to get the ticket.Than we reached the temple but we didn’t find any hotels or guest house rooms available so that we could take bath and put our luggage and everything there and go to the temple .So after 2 to 3 hours of hotel room search,we all had become frustrated .So we all went to a restaurant to have some food near the temple itself and it was Woodside Restaurant.We all had our breakfast and saw the god from the road itself just bowed to God standing infront of the temple on our bikes on the road itself and started our journey back at 1330hrs(sep 13th 2008) to bangalore.The ride was very fast and furious while returning back and after taking ample of breaks for photo session and food still we all managed to reach back to bangalore sharp at 2015hrs(september 13th 2008).So in all we had covered 600kms in 19 hours i.e from september 13 2008 at 0130hrs to september 13 2008 at 2015hrs.
The road was horrible and night driving is not at all safe.As almost many stretches of the road was under construction so the outgoing and incoming traffics were only happening at one half of the road.And during night the problem we faced is that as the road were under construction So there were many diversions and ditches and it was surrounded by the constructor tapes.But the issue was that the road was completely dark and the tapes were not fluoroscent tapes ,so that we could see from distance that there is something mentioned.We were only able to make out that there is some footpath or diversion or ditch or construction ditch ahead when we were reaching very close to it .The ride was so terrible that we were moving at 90kmph during night and suddenly we were noticing that there is some construction ditch or road is blocked and at that speed itself we had to divert our bike to the correct road.After all the experience was good and riding is not really a cake walk.You should have it in you to make a ride.As our group says “ Jazba hai andar to dikhta hai bahar.”

Ride to Shivasamudra--120km from bangalore
Big fan of bulls but never been on a long ride before. On August 15 2008 , Abhishek and I decided to try it out with a small step - a 120 kms stretch from Bangalore to shivasamudra.The weather was purrrfect. Not too sunny, but hardly a cloud to dampen our spirits. As we started cruising down Kanakpura road. Started our journey at arround 1230hrs and reached there at 1600hrs. First we filled all our tanks in JP nagar petrol pump and checked the air pressure and moved on. Caught the kanakpura main road and started heding towards the destination. The road was ok for some distance but after that its horrible. Some constructions were also going on. Took 3 breaks for lunch and photo session on the way. You will find petrol pumps on the highway and there are some good hotels and road side dhabas too.But mainly you will find small shops instead of dhabas.So if you are a good eater than please carry some food with you. Trip To Bhimeswari with RTMC
The ride was on 24th August 2008. Very excited for the ride. The starting point of the group was from Putana Chetty Town Hall Bangalore. As usual I was at the starting point from 0600hrs while the ride started at 0700hrs. Other half of the group joined us from Metro Mall Bangalore. A total of 25 bullets made up to the ride. with two BMW , Yamaha R1 and a dirt bike as the beamer. The point was played by Raghvan and sweep by the Goop(nike name of a guy given by RTMC).
Total Km-103 km(one side ) and 206 km(round trip) from bangalore
Total duration:-started at 0700hrs and returned back at 1600hrs .(9 hours of journey with breaks in between for rest ,break fast etc.)
Petrol Bunks:- available on the highway
Food:- Nice hotels are there on the highway and some good dhabas also.
The road is not so nice so driving should be careful and with normal speed to keep the bikes in good condition. Else you land in some trouble situation .As the roads were not nice and many ups and downs,suddenly one of our bike hit the ditch and the bikes hub ,spokes and wheel rim got broken.
We reached there at 1200hrs and came back on the same day at 1430hrs. And some had there lunch at the high way hotels and some after reaching there homes. So in all the ride was nice.
